Matt and Chris are both doing well. The kidney has not yet rejected. Matt and Chris still get tested on a regular basis to check kidney levels and functions.
Matt is able to be back to his normal life as it was before his kidneys began to fail. He enjoys doing many things with his family. He is now able to work full time. He enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys watching Nebraska football with his brothers. Now, he is able to travel with his family just like he had before the disease took over his life. He is very thankful for Chris. Without his brother, he may not be here today (Assmann, Matt).

Chris is also doing very well. He has had no complications after donating his kidney. He still enjoys playing volleyball, running, and mountain biking. He also has had no emotional impact from the surgery. Since the surgery, he appreciates life much more than before. From this surgery, he has learned to appreciate the little things in life. He realizes that many things can happen in life, so this make him appreciate life a little more (Assmann, Chris).
